Srdečně Vás zveme na vernisáž výstavy World on Fire a zároveň i křest knihy Marka Musila, která se koná 1.2.2018 v Leica Gallery Prague.
Marek Musil se ve svém fotografickém cyklu zaměřil na fenomén amerického uměleckého festivalu Burning Man, který se od druhé poloviny osmdesátých let koná uprostřed nevadské pouště. S fotoaparátem navštívil i méně známější odnože festivalu, a to Midburn v Izraeli a AfrikaBurn v Jihoafrické republice. Obsáhlý fotografický triptych je subjektivním dokumentem z místa, kde svoboda ještě stále dýchá z plných plic a fungování společnosti je založeno na myšlence soudržnosti a respektu k lidem i k přírodě. Z fotografií uměleckých instalací, nápaditých alegorických vozů, bláznivých kostýmů i portrétů účastníků tímto získáváme možnost nasát svobodomyslnou atmosféru festivalů nejen na samotné výstavě, ale i v knize, jejíž uvedení a křest proběhne v rámci vernisáže.

In his new photographical series, Marek Musil aimed his camera at the American art phenomenon that is the Burning Man festival, that’s taking place
in the midst of Nevada’s desert ever since the eighties. Apart from the American event, Marek also visited the lesser known branches of the festival – Midburn in Israel and AfrikaBurn in South African Republic. His comprehensive triptych is a subjective documentary of a place, where freedom oozes out of everyone and everything and the functioning of the local society is still based on the idea of togetherness and respect towards people and nature alike. We get the opportunity to absorb the free-minded atmosphere from the captured art installations, inventive allegorical cars, crazy costumes and portraits
of the participants not only from the exhibition, but also from the book, whose launch will take place as a part of the vernissage.
