Point taken and accepted. Just curious if art in the past has been a realistic depiction of culture. We may have a few things to discuss if that is the case.Reakce na Kees Terberg: Nudity is normal. Nudity is not automatically pornographic and the old...
As far as the modern human history goes, you can see, nudity wasn’t normal. Nudity may be natural, but never normal. Being naked or dressed was always a cultural statement. Statement of a social status, of a religion, of an affiliation to a specific social group or the other way around as a declaration of your personal independence. It was never meaningless, not to mention normal, always under influence of some current social trends. This is not Victorian times what is catching us up now, we’re reaping the fruit of the culture that the social networks of Zuckerberg sown since last two decades. Presenting yourself on social networks as a cheapest whore feels completely fine for the girls, even if it’s very close to a pornographic manner but to show up nude on a photograph, even partly, make the girls feel fully inappropriate. Natural or artistic, it feels always wrong. This approach to nudity has become to today’s culture standards
