"You dont like what you get, you don't pay". I disagree with that one. You pay for a service, not for the results. If there is clear communication, you know what you can expect and you strke a deal. Tastes differ and this is what killed my career as a professional photographer. I no longer found joy in the work that the paying customers demanded. I love an authentic smile and I am a great fan of the female figure. The camera has become a tool where I can see and capture moments and beauty that I love to share with the world. I get a kick out of seeing my work in magazines and exhibitions and an even bigger kick in seeing that my captured observations are admired by others. The majority of my current models are friends and only occasionally will I delve in my pockets to pay someone. I have no commercial incentive and my passion for photography is something that I like to share with those who help me accomplish ideas. There is a truth in what you say. Pay for someone to pose for you and there are no further obligations to respect. Now I have a disposable income, but when I started photography, I was a pretty broke student. The professional model who posed for me TFP was one of the greatest inspirations ever. Over the years, I have photographed her wedding, her children and special events for which she did not have the buget. The best thing is that we are still friends, even though the commercial aspect of her being a well paid professional art model and I was just a beginning student never took the commercial route. Photography is a tool. It is a medium and it is a means of bringing people together and capture and immortalize moments. This is being forgotten when photography becomes a commercial means. Everyone has to begin somewhere and mutual non commercial collaboratios are a great start. When it becomes a business, the session starts and ends for an agreed fee. Whatever happens after that is nobody's business.

Don't be so negative about everything that's different yet, I like what you call "Time For Payment”, it eliminates all potential misunderstandings and unmet expectations;) you don't like what you get, you don't pay 3:) you pay, I don't need to worry if I get later useful photographs or what they're good for O:) I’m pretty sure, it won't destroy amateur photography, there are still plenty of girls around who wants to be models for a day or two :))) and if there is nudity involved, yes, then even amateur photographers have to pay for a model (especially the amateur ones), but that's not the only thing they have to pay for, the model is no less valuable to their development than a camera ;) it's nothing new for other amateurs, even for amateur sports you have to pay a lot of money and they're still alive :D

Yes, TFP has changed as well. Once, TFP was known as Time For Prints. I would spend hours in the darkroom to conjure up a set of 6-12 A4 sized prints from a session where 2 or three rolls of film were shot. In the age f digital, my number of shots has increased to fit the memory card inside the camera and TFP has become Time For Photos. This was generally a set of low resolution preview images with a few unmarked shots for private use and now.. TFP has becoe commercialized. Time For Payment. If the photographer wants to work with a model, the photographer pays the model. If the model needs photos, the model will pay the photographer. This has unfortunately become the new norm. I guess that this site is just following this trend which is killing amateur photography.

No wonder fotopatracka slowly dies, it was part of a world that no longer exists and if, so just marginally :( I guess, fotopatracka was build on TFP cooperation in the first place, but TFP collaboration can hardly be of any value when the photographs aren’t. In 2020 alone, 1.4 trillion were taken in the world :P most of them will disappear in time again but that's what shapes the world these days, to swim with the current, you don't need to have a portfolio of artistic photographs like in the old days, you have to post new pictures on your IG profile at least once a day or better more often O:) it can easily be a selfie, but that's all you need to do to attract attention of photographers ;) they may be a few here but they're surely all there and that's why most of the models have already left and and those who remain are looking more for an opportunity to make money then for photographs 3:) there's more money here than good photographs anyway :D

Personaly I strongly believe that the place is on a downward spiral. Photography has changed over the years. I recall events (yes, it shows my age and as I am over 50 now, I know that I a no longer one of the newbie's) where photographers and models would meet up for a drink and discuss projects. Models and photographers would bring their portfolios and show them. If there was a click and a project appeared interesting enough, a session would be scheduled. Since the internet took over, people no longer meet in real life before scheduling a session and this website has followed the same social trend. As long as you pay your subs, you will have access to the site and photographers showcase their work to advertise for models and models look for business. The last few TFP sessions that I have done have come from Instagram and Facebook. There are only a handful of people left on this platform whom I really respect and enjoy working with. So, does this site work for me? To be honest? I think it has lost its appeal.

Máte někdo podobnou zkušenost? díky všem a hezký den :)
