Point taken and accepted. Just curious if art in the past has been a realistic depiction of culture. We may have a few things to discuss if that is the case.
As far as the modern human history goes, you can see, nudity wasn’t normal. Nudity may be natural, but never normal. Being naked or dressed was always a cultural statement. Statement of a social status, of a religion, of an affiliation to a specific social group or the other way around as a declaration of your personal independence. It was never meaningless, not to mention normal, always under influence of some current social trends. This is not Victorian times what is catching us up now, we’re reaping the fruit of the culture that the social networks of Zuckerberg sown since last two decades. Presenting yourself on social networks as a cheapest whore feels completely fine for the girls, even if it’s very close to a pornographic manner but to show up nude on a photograph, even partly, make the girls feel fully inappropriate. Natural or artistic, it feels always wrong. This approach to nudity has become to today’s culture standards
Nudity is normal. Nudity is not automatically pornographic and the old Victorian times are catching up with us again. I am a 50 Dutch male and I remember the beaches being a place where every lady walked around topless. This counted for France, Spain and the Netherlands if it was warm enough to walk around without a winter coat. We were born nude and immediately after we are beckoned to cover up our bodies. My IG account was recenty purified after 2/3 were deemed inappropriate and a breach of community guidelines. My FB account has been terminated by FB more times than I can recall. At least the account here has remained since I staryed paying for it in 2018. The only constant in life is change. Wemight as well get used to it.
